The official list below shows reserved time periods - not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your teacher whether or not the final exam for the course will be held during this time period.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam content. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness, visual or hearing impairment, contact the exam provider directly and be sure to provide a detailed document when you register.

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes a "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty find their exam schedules. The Registrar's Office also has a list with exam times for the courses that are required to be tested under NYSED regulations. For evening classes, final exams are scheduled at the regular class time during the final exam week.

Registration

Students are advised to check the exam schedule online. However, it is important to note that the exam schedule may be altered at any time. Therefore, students should consult with their instructors to confirm that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should be certain to print the official list and bring it with them to their exam.

Students should also be familiar with the guidelines and conditions of the exam in addition to the schedule. These are accessible on the individual exam pages. When they register, students agree that they agree to these conditions and terms.

Exam locations try their best to accommodate participants with special needs. The nature and extent of these requirements must be stated on the registration form and verified by an attestation of a doctor. The locations for the exam must adhere to confidentiality.

If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is suggested that they contact their department or instructor to schedule a make-up exam. It is possible to have three exams on the same day. However, this could lead to a high level of stress and affect the quality of the exam. The instructor may not be able give a makeup test on another day.

The results of the examination are reported using a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the test receive an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies the achievement of language level A1. This level corresponds with the first level of the six-level scale of competence set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students must bring an ID that is valid for government purposes to the exam. Anyone who does not have a valid photo identification will be disqualified.

Fees

You'll need to pay an exam fee for the opportunity to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This fee is in addition to the course fees.

Practice assessments allow you to get familiar with the format of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They allow you to assess your level, discover gaps in knowledge and improve your chances of passing the exam.



It is important to note that the exam fee isn't refundable. The results of the examination can only be received by email, not via telephone.
